Reading: Romans 5:5; John 16:33
Devotional: Hope in Jesus is trustworthy because it's not based on circumstances but on God's unchanging character. His love has been poured—not sprinkled, not measured out sparingly, but poured—into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. This is the same Spirit who empowers us to endure, who reminds us we're not alone, who produces fruit in our lives we could never manufacture ourselves. Jesus promised tribulation, but He also promised victory. When the world says your hope is foolish, remember that Christ has already overcome. Today, stand with open hands—willing to release what God asks you to let go, and ready to receive what only He can provide. This posture of surrender is actually the most hope-filled position you can assume.
