Hope Rests on the Promiser

Reading: Romans 4:13-17

Devotional: Hope isn't just believing in a promise—it's trusting the One who made it. Abraham's story reveals that our hope doesn't rest on our ability to make things happen, but on God's faithfulness to do what He said. Like Abraham looking at his aged body and Sarah's barrenness, we face overwhelming realities that scream impossibility. Yet hope says, "But God." When circumstances feel hopeless, remember that grace gives and faith receives. The promise isn't guaranteed because we're strong enough to claim it, but because God is faithful enough to fulfill it. Today, shift your focus from the impossibility of your situation to the faithfulness of your Father.

Reflection: What "impossible" situation are you facing? How can you surrender the outcome while holding tightly to God's promise?
