Devotional: What could possibly separate you from God's love? Paul runs through an exhaustive list—tribulation, distress, persecution, danger, death itself—and answers with resounding confidence: Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Not the worst thing that's happened to you. Not your deepest failure. Not the uncertainty of tomorrow or the regrets of yesterday. Not the heights of success or the depths of despair. You cannot be pushed out of God's love or pulled away from His embrace. When you stepped into relationship with Christ, you became one with Him—inseparable, secure, held eternally. Today, whatever threatens to make you doubt, remember: God's grip on you is stronger than anything trying to loosen it.
